Sacramento County Bar Association Public Law Section
The Public Law Section was re-chartered in 2013 and aspires to promote social and business fellowship among the members of the Section; sponsor and promote public law-related educational activities in order to enhance the practical skills of Section members; provide a forum for interaction on public law-related matters between attorneys from the public and private sectors in the Sacramento region; provide mentorship opportunities for newer members of the Section; coordinate public law-related functions with other legal organizations, businesses, nonprofits, and law schools in the Sacramento region; promote goodwill across the State on behalf of the members of the Section; and to provide visibility for and stimulate membership and participation in the Sacramento County Bar Association. The Section also seeks to encourage and promote the practice of public law among high school and college students, and to foster the professional development of law students who are interested in the practice of public law.

The Section Officers are elected annually and have monthly meetings to discuss events, collaboration with other sections and bar associations, and to brainstorm on how it can contribute to the Sacramento-area legal community, as well as the community in general. All members are invited to attend Section Officer meetings to join in the discussion.
