Avi Glikman received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Loyola-Marymount University in Playa Del Rey, California, in 1997. While at Loyola-Marymount University, Avi spent a semester abroad at Oxford University studying European politics and international relations. Prior to entering law school in 1998, Avi worked for a Los Angeles-based financial management company handling business and financial matters for production companies. Avi then attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and received his Juris Doctorate in 2001 with an emphasis in intellectual property. While at McGeorge, Avi participated in the McGeorge Law Review as both a writer and an editor.
Avi began his legal career in 2001 as a law clerk in the homicide unit of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office where he gained valuable trial experience. Upon passing the California State Bar Examination, Avi then worked for Demler, Armstrong & Rowland LLP in Long Beach, California, where his practice involved personal injury defense, construction defect litigation, insurance bad faith actions, premises liability cases, and other general litigation matters. In 2004, Avi moved to Sacramento, California, and began working at Read & Aliotti, PC where he is currently a fifth-year associate. Avi's litigation practice focuses on the representation of subcontractors in construction defect matters in both commercial and residential settings. While at Read & Aliotti, Avi has successfully defended numerous subcontractors in mediation and litigation proceedings throughout Northern California.
In his spare time, Avi enjoys participating in various local basketball leagues including the West Sacramento Basketball League and regularly plays on the McGeorge Intramural Alumni Basketball Team. On occasion, Avi also plays tennis and attempts to play golf.
