Once again, we have a substantively full magazine for you. Summer is usually a slow time, with many sections going dark, but it seems we've been compensating for the lack of MCLE opportunities with social events – from the Law Library's Horse Racing Fundraiser to luncheons and receptions recognizing mentors/parolees, new members of the judiciary and our Judge of the Year, Justice Callahan, and the summer associates – we've had a lot of fun. But we've been serious too. LSNC taught summer interns about pro bono, our new City Attorney is hard at work, and planning has been underway for a multitude of fall events, some of which you'll find detailed in these pages.
This issue showcases Labor and Employment Law, and the variety of topics covered in this multi-faceted area of law. Enjoy the issue and, if you have comments about the format, suggestions as to topics you'd like to see covered, or submissions of articles or event information, please let Helene and Heather know. |
