 The Barristers' Club of Sacramento, in conjunction with various law firms in Sacramento, was pleased to present its Fifteenth Annual Summer Associate Reception at The Park Downtown, 1116 15th Street, Sacramento, California, July 20, 2006, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. As has been the custom at this event, in addition to honoring all summer associates, a principal focus was to honor those firms participating in the Sacramento County Bar Association's Minority Hiring and Retention Program. These are firms that have hired a firstyear minority law student for the summer.
Law students from all around the county come to Sacramento each summer to work for our city's law firms. The Barristers' Club organizes this event every year to give all summer associates a unique opportunity to experience another aspect of the Sacramento legal community by meeting those directly involved in it. Over 200 attorneys and their summer associates met and mingled with the local state and federal judges, justices of the Third Appellate District, public officials, and officers of the County Bar Association.
