Instant Wine Cellar Raffle Raises Over $3,000

Candy Dahl

Candy Dahl collects her prize wine

Thanks to all those who donated bottles of wine, all those who sold raffle tickets, and of course all those who bought tickets. This year's Instant Wine Cellar Raffle raised over $3,000 for the Sacramento Law Foundation and the organizations and projects to which it contributes. These funds will help the Sacramento Law Foundation provide financial support for nonprofit organizations and projects in the Sacramento community that contribute to the quality and accessibility of justice, the honor and integrity of the legal profession, and civic education. The Instant Wine Cellar drawing was held on June 29th at the Bench Bar Reception. Congratulations to Peter Cianchetta, who won 36 bottles of fine wine, Candy Dahl, who took home 24 bottles, and Karen Stevens, who won 12 bottles. These extraordinary wine collections reflect the distinctive and personal tastes of the members and friends of the Sacramento County Bar Association who donated them. The wine this year was excellent and the Sacramento Law Foundation extends our sincere appreciation to the following people for their viticultural expertise and generous contributions:

Carol Prosser, Executive Director of the Sacramento County Bar Association, deserves a special thank you for all her help. I also want to personally thank Melinda Williams, the Law Foundation's President and Tac Craven, last year's President, for jumping in at the last minute to wrap things up while I was called away with a family emergency.
