On
Thursday, September 4, 2003, the Sacramento Chapter
of the Federal Bar Association welcomed McGregor
Scott, the new U.S. Attorney appointed to the Eastern
District of California. The reception took place at the Riverside
Clubhouse, where members of the federal and state bars enjoyed
the wonderful food and atmosphere in honor of the new U.S.
Attorney. McGregor Scott spoke briefly, thanking the FBA
for
hosting the event and introducing his wife, Jennifer Scott,
to the
attendees. Many members of the Sacramento legal community
attended the event, including Judges Morrison C. England,
Jr. and Frank C. Damrell, Jr. from the Eastern District of California;
Presiding Justice Arthur G. Scotland and Associate Justices
Vance W. Raye and Fred K. Morrison from California’s
Third
District Court of Appeal; members of the U.S. Attorney’s
Office;
members of the State Attorney General’s Office; and
private practitioners
from the Sacramento legal community.
