M. Plamondon joins Livingston
& Mattesich from Chameleon Systems, Inc.,
a Silicon Valley semiconductor company developing next generation
communications technology. He was Chameleon's general counsel
and IP portfolio manager. "When Chameleon postponed
the release of its new product, I looked elsewhere for high
tech legal work," explained Plamondon. "Livingston
& Mattesich gave me the opportunity to do IP transactions
and general business litigation for a growing number of
tech clients in Sacramento." Mr. Plamondon completed
his J.D. degree (2000) with a certificate in Intellectual
Property and High Tech Law from Santa Clara University School
of Law. While in law school, he worked 18 months for the
Corporate Business Development Section of Intel Corporation.
He researched IP and Y2K legal issues in private equity
placements. Mr. Plamondon earned a B.S. degree (1996) in
International Business Management from California Polytechnic
State University in San Luis Obispo, California, where he
also worked for BankAmerica Investment Services helping
clients manage their securities portfolios.
Glen
Franklin Koontz joins Livingston
& Mattesich from the Washington, D.C. firm
of Hughes & Bentzen, PLLC, where he represented clients
on matters ranging from white-collar criminal defense to
commercial litigation. He also served as General Counsel
for the Association of State and Territorial Solid Waste
Management Officials, a position he retains at Livingston
& Mattesich. Koontz's career began in 1987 at the Washington,
D.C. firm of Keller and Heckman. He represented clients
in litigation stemming from federal regulation. In 1992,
he was appointed assistant City Attorney for Richmond, Virginia,
and in 1994 he returned to Washington to assume the position
of Litigation Counsel for the National Association of Home
Builders ("NAHB"). In that position, Koontz created
NAHB's aggressive pro-active litigation program in defense
of property rights throughout the United States. Koontz
attended Washington and Lee University, earning his Bachelor
of Arts in 1982 and his Juris Doctorate in 1987. He is admitted
to practice in California, Maryland, Virginia and the District
of Columbia.

formerly The Law Office of Carolyn Langenkamp, are pleased

Sacramento law firm of Trainor

D. Morell has joined the firm's Real Estate transaction
Department as an associate attorney. As an associate with
the firm, Morell will assist the firm's clients with their
commercial real estate transaction including counseling
clients on leases, purchase and sale transactions, and construction
and architects' agreements. Morell earned his law degree
from the University of Southern California School of Law,
in 1994, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University
of California at Santa Cruz, in 1990. Prior to joining Trainor
Robertson, Morell was an associate attorney with in the
Real Estate and Environmental Group of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich
and Rosati PC in the Palo Alto. Prior to joining the Wilson
Sonsini firm in 1997, Morell was an associate attorney with
a Honolulu, Hawaii law firm, where he handled business and
litigation matters. Mr. Morell is a member of the real property
and Environmental Law Sections of the California State Bar,
the State Bar of Hawaii and the Sacramento County Bar Association.
