ABOTA Honors Zimmerman

At the recent annual meeting of the Sacramento Valley Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Robert Zimmerman, a senior partner at Schuering Zimmerman & Scully, LLP, received the ABOTA Trial Lawyer of the Year award.

Zimmerman's practice is devoted almost entirely to the defense of medical malpractice actions. In recent trials, Zimmerman represented medical specialties including primary care, orthopedic surgery, emergency medicine, gynecology, oncologic surgery and neurosurgery.

ABOTA membership in and of itself is a highly sought after recognition. Significant trial experience and peer recognition of both the plaintiffs and defense bars are required to even become a member. Zimmerman was the first defense lawyer to achieve this prestigious award.
