Steps
The
Sacramento law firm of
Weintraub Genshlea Chediak Sproul announces that Michael
A. Kvarme has rejoined the firm as a shareholder in the Corporate
and Real Estate Practice Groups. Most recently a partner with
the Sacramento office of Pillsbury Winthrop, Mr. Kvarme
brings over twenty-two years experience advising businesses throughout
Northern California and nationally, most prominently representing
real estate and corporate clients, in a wide variety of transactions.
He received his law degree at the University of California at
Davis School of Law in 1979 and his A.B. from the University of
California at Berkeley in 1976. Mr. Kvarme is a frequent lecturer
and author, most recently moderating a UC Davis Connect panel
on "Positioning, Branding and Partnering for Start-ups"
and presenting an advanced program on commercial leasing for the
Continuing Education of the Bar. He was also involved with the
County of Sacramento in the successful transformation of McClellan
Air Force Base into the McClellan Business Park.
Joshua
Deutsch
has become an associate attorney of Weintraub after two years
at the Los Angeles office of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher.
His practice focuses on entertainment and intellectual property
law and related litigation matters. He represented music industry
clients, television and motion picture production companies, and
talent agents. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Deutsch worked
in the entertainment industry providing public relations services
for clients such as Jodie Foster and Richie Sambora, and later
for a major international talent agency. Mr. Deutsch received
his J.D. from Stanford University, School of law in 2000 and his
B.A., Magna Cum Laude, from Brandeis University in 1996.
