LSNC Is Bigger Winner In Valentine's Day Run
By Gary F. Smith, LSNC Executive Director

As many of you know by now, the "fun run" held in Sacramento on Valentine's Day (Run Valentine Run) was a tremendous success. Proceeds are benefiting Legal Services of Northern California's teen outreach programs. According to Rich Hanna, our race director, LSNC's race ranks as one of the largest first annual run/walk events ever held in Sacramento. More than 1,100 people registered for the race! We saw many of our friends mingling with Forrest Gump, who handed out chocolates and was a great success with kids of all ages. Others came to see John McIntosh, Sacramento's first "Fun Run" race pioneer. And still others came out because you support the legal work that benefits our neighborhoods and communities. I hope we'll see you at next year's race, scheduled for February 12, 2005. We have a few new plans for you. Start looking for information around November 2004 at www.LSNC.Info > Run Valentine Run.
