WLS Co-Sponsors CWL Northern California Judicial Reception
 
On Friday March 30, WLS was proud to be a co-sponsor of the California Women Lawyers Northern California Judicial Reception at the law offices of McCutcheon, Doyle, Brown & Enerson in San Francisco. On a beautiful evening, against the spectacular backdrop of the bay viewed from the 25th floor of 3 Embarcadero, attendees witnessed the presentation of the Rose Bird Memorial Award to Supreme Court Associate Justice Joyce L. Kennard. The award honors judges who through their compassion, intellect and independence continue the legacy left by Bird. Kennard thanked the group for her award and spoke not of herself but of Rose Bird, whom Kennard counted as one of her close friends. Those of us who were able to attend had the privilege and joy of being part of a special evening.
