Downey,
Brand, Seymour & Rohwer LLP, Sacramento's
largest law firm with over 95 attorneys, announces a new
associate, Jenni Field, to its employment and labor
law practice group. Field received her J.D from the University
of Tulsa College of Law in 1999 and her B.S. in political
science/public law from Oklahoma State University in 1995.
Prior to joining Downey Brand, Field was a judicial clerk
serving the Honorable Stephanie Seymour, Chief Judge Tenth
Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Downey,
Brand announces a new associate, Juan
Walker, to its litigation Department. Walker will be
an associate in the firm's Stockton Office. He received
his J.D from Southern Methodist University School of Law
in Dallas in 1995 and his B.A. from the University of Michigan
in 1992. Prior to joining Downey, Brand, Walker was a member
of the United States Air Force as an assistant staff judge
advocate at Beale Airforce Base.
Atkinson,
Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo welcomes
Eve K. Peek as a senior associate to its Sacramento
office. Peek, formally an associate of the Sacramento law
firm Kronick & Moskovitz, Tiedmann & Girard, will
continue to practice education and employment law for California
school districts, community colleges, county offices of
education and private employees. Peek is on the board of
the California Council of School Attorneys and a member
of Women Lawyers of Sacramento. Peek received a BA with
honors and Phi Beta Kappa from UC Santa Barbara and a JD
from UC Davis School of Law. She was deemed the law school's
outstanding oral advocate in 1993 and is a member of the
Order of the Barristers.
Edward
Goldkuhl has been named an associate at Sacramento-based
Drobny Law Offices.
He will assist the firm's clients in probate. estate administration,
and estate planning matters. Goldkuhl received his JD degree
from the University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of
Law in 1997 and his Bachelor of Science degree from the
University of California at Santa Clara in 1994. He is member
of the Sacramento County Probate and Estate Planning Bar,
Phi Delta Epsilon fraternity.

Eng & Schroder, a Law Corporation,
is in the new name of the Sacramento business and securities
law firm formerly named Bartel Eng Linn & Schroder.
The change reflects the departure of Roger Linn and announces
that David C. Adams and Eric J. Stiff become shareholders
in the firm on January 1, 2001.
David
C. Adams represents high technology
and life science companies in corporate securities, finance,
and other matters relating to start-ups, financing and operations.
He has been with the Bartel Eng & Schroder Law firm
for nine years. He earned his law degree with distinction
from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific in
1988, and his undergraduate degree with high honors from
the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
Eric
J. Stiff has practiced with the firm since February
1996, specializing in corporate securities matters and mergers
and acquisition. He received his law degree in 1995 from
McGeorge School of Law, and his B.A. in law and society
from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1989.
He is a member of the business law section of the State
Bar of California, American Bar Association and the Sacramento
County Bar Association.
Prior
to joining Bartel Eng, Troy K. Dinin was a tax manager
for years with the Los Angeles and Sacramento offices of
Deloitte & Touche. He earned an LL.M in Taxation from
the University of Florida in 1996, and graduated with great
distinction from McGeorge School of Law in May 1995. He
received his B.S. in Political Science form the University
of California, Santa Barbara in 1992. He currently is secretary
of the taxation section of the Sacramento County Bar Association,
and a member of the State Bar taxation section. He is licensed
to practice in California and Florida.
