Looking
for last minute MCLE credits?
Check out the audiocassette tape programs from the Sacramento
County Public Law Library. Find our what is available through
the law library’s on-line catalog. Point your browser at
the library’s website www.saclaw.lib.ca.us. Click on “online
catalog.” Use the advanced search option to limit your search
by subject or title keyword (e.g.: “ethics”), format
(e.g.: “audio-cassettes”), date (e.g.: “>2000”).You
can also check on the library’s website for MCLE classes
being held at the library. WestGroup has a slick new LegalEd Center
where you can take classes on-line and pay by credit card. Point
your browser at http://www.westlegaledcenter.com.
A great way
to fulfill your MCLE credit requirements, share your expertise,
and learn some new presentation techniques is to teach a class
at the law library. Contact Coral Henning at
874-5625. She will work with you to discuss options and make it
happen.
Looking for
a meeting room to meet clients while you are downtown or for a
deposition? The law library rents both the board room and second
floor meeting room by the hour or by the day for as little as
$10 per hour. Find pictures of the rooms, size requirements, and
more information at the library website.

The January
- February holiday schedule is as follows. New Year’s Day,
January 1; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, January 20; Lincoln’s
Birthday, February 12; President’s Day, February 17. The
main and branch libraries will be closed on those days.
Upcoming
events - National Library Week is April 6-12. Sacramento County
Law Library staff members are busy planning events that will increase
your know about legal research products available to you as well
as to highlight library related activities. New this year is a
book talk and book signing by local attorney Geoffrey
Wong. His second novel will be out in the bookstores
by April.
