Jay-Allen
Eisen
has been elected to membership in the American Academy of
Appellate Lawyers. Eisen, a shareholder in Eisen &
Johnson Law Corporation, specializes in civil appeals,
writs, trial court motion practice and related matters.
Eisen has practiced since 1969. He won his first case in
the California Supreme Court in 1971. He has been counsel
in more than 250 appeals and appellate writ proceedings,
more than 75 of which have resulted in reported decisions.
Eisen received his law degree at Hastings College of Law
in 1968 and his BA at the University of California, Berkeley,
in 1965.
The
Sacramento law firm of Trainor Robertson is pleased
to announce that Stephan D. Geist
has joined the firm's property management group as an associate
attorney. Geist will assist the firm's clients with real
property, land use and development litigation. Geist earned
his law degree from the Golden Gate University School of
Law, in 1995 and his BA form the University of California,
Berkeley, in 1991.

& Youmans, has been elected Sacramento Chapter President
of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants
(CalCPA). Hess brings to the practice extensive experience
in state and local business taxes, having previously served
as a manager in KMPG Peat Marwick's state and local tax
practice.

to its water law group. Greben is one of the state's leading
environmental litigators and is a recognized expert in soil
and groundwater contamination issues. His 20 years of experience
has been spread among a wide variety of federal, state and
administrative proceedings.

of Nicole Duval as an
associate in the business department. Duval received her
JD from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific
in 1998 and her BA in political science from California
State University, Chico, in 1995.
Stephan
C. Ruehmann
has joined McDonough, Holland & Allen effective
August 2001, bringing litigation experience in federal and
state courts, as well as before administrative tribunals.
Previously, he was a partner at Hunter Richey, DiBenedetto
& Eisenbeis, LLP. Ruehmann is a graduate of the
Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program
and received an Excellence in Service Award from the Office
of the United States Attorney, Central District of California,
Civil Division.
