Zachary
Smith, James Clarke and Gerald J. Ramiza have
been named shareholders of McDonough, Holland & Allen,
attorneys
at law.
Zachary
Smith is a litigation attorney whose experience includes
general civil litigation, construction disputes, environmental
torts and estate and trust litigation. He has been of Counsel
to the firm since 1995.
Jim
Clarke is a business/tax attorney. His expertise includes
tax planning, tax controversy, and executive compensation
planning, as well as serving as corporate counsel for a
wide variety of private and publicity-traded companies.
Clarke joined the firm in 1998.
Jerry
Ramiza is a redevelopment/public law attorney and a member
of the firm's Oakland office. He represents public agencies
and private developers on a variety of redevelopment, real
estate and law use matters. Prior to joining the firm in
1999, he was affiliated with firms in Newport Beach and
San Francisco.
David
M. Fogel has joined the firm as a special advisor in the
firm's Business/Tax Section. He will be assisting Robert
R. Rubin on tax controversy issues. Fogel has more than
26 years of experience in federal tax matters, including
partnerships, corporation, estates, trust-fund recovery
penalties, employment and excise taxes. He has eight years
experience as an IRS tax auditor and revenue agent and 18
years experience as an IRS appeals officer. He received
his BA at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Mike
Buck has joined the firm effective June 1, 2001, bringing
eight years of public and private experience in environmental
regulatory compliance and enforcement matters. Most recently
he was with Downey, Brand, Seymour & Rohwer in Sacramento.
Previously, he was appointed by Governor Wilson as Assistant
General Counsel of the California Environmental Protection
Agency, where he focused on enforcement initiatives. At
McDonough, Holland & Allen, Buck's practice focuses
on defense of environmental enforcement actions, regulatory
compliance counseling and environmental issues associated
with energy generation. He is a 1993 graduate of the University
of Colorado School of Law and a member of the U.C. Davis
class of 1990, where he received his BS in Environmental
Policy Analysis and Planning.

Wishek & Sand
Michael
Chastine has joined Rothschild, Wishek & Sands of
counsel. He comes from San Jose where he spent over 15 years
in the Santa Clara County Public Defender and Alternative
Defenders Office. Mike has specialized in the defense of
homicide cases, complex litigation and serious felonies.
Additionally, he has been the head of the law and motions
department several times. He will be providing general criminal
defense services as well as legal representation on teacher
credential matters.

to announce Mark T. Gallagher has joined the firm's
Business Litigation Group as an associate attorney. As an
associate with the firm, Mr. Gallagher will assist the firm's
clients with their litigation matters concerning real property,
land use and development issues. Mr. Gallagher earned his
law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge
School of Law, in 1995 and his BA degree from the California
Polytech Institute, San Luis Obispo, in 1992. Prior to joining
Trainor Robertson, Mr. Gallagher was an attorney with the
Pacific Legal Foundation. Mr. Gallagher is a member of the
State Bar of California and the Sacramento County Bar Association.

to announce that Bill Di Capo has joined the firm's
Real Estate Transaction Group, as an associate attorney.
Mr. Di Capo, a 14-year attorney with a strong background
in business litigation, will assist the firm's clients with
commercial real estate transactions including real property
purchase and sale agreements, office and retail leasing
and construction contract disputes. Mr. Di Capo earned his
law degree from the University of California, Davis, in
1983. Mr. Di Capo is a member of the State Bar of California,

Mr.
Richmond is a 1991 Graduate of Tulane University in New
Orleans, Louisiana, and earned his Juris Doctor Degree form
the McGeorge School of Law, University of Pacific in 2000.
Prior to entering in the legal profession, Mr. Richmond
was an executive in the mortgage banking industry. Mr. Richmond
is admitted to practice in the State of California and before
the United States District Court, Eastern District of California.
His practice will emphasize personal injury, product liability
and general civil litigation.
Amanda
C. Raffanti joins the firm following her graduation from
the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in
2000. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Raffanti earned
her Bachelor of Art Degree from the Union Institute, Sacramento,
California in 1996. Ms. Raffanti will join the firm's labor
and employment practice group.
